“Karizma” a rap pseudonym very common in Zim hip-hop. Little is known about which “Karizma” is the original one, however it seems as if this the sharing of this alias has begun somewhat of a unique competitive dynamic of Zim hip-hop which arguably shows exclusivity to this genre.
The Karizma in particular we are focusing is an artiste on the A.M.V.I.S. Imprint. His first hit “Main Attraction” in 2011 caused a nationwide buzz.
Karizma has become one of the most talked about rappers since he came onto the scene.
Highly regarded as one of the best lyricists in the game right now having joined forces with one of H-towns best hip hop groups.
As far as collaborations are concerned he is a favourite amongst rappers. His first mixtape was with a rapper named McNife, They made a hit single “I Don’t Dance”.
Since he partnered up with Amvis in the wake of 2012 they released some credible material which enabled the team to score two nominations at the Zim Hip-Hop Awards that year namely “Best Single of the Year” for their hit “I Just Want it All”, as well as Best Group.
Their hit song “Bring it Back” is a fan favourite.
Since joining the Amvis Music Imprint, he has been focusing on his first solo mixtape titled “Kriptic Thoughts”. The executive producer of this project, Kundai Kripmac Makombe of Amvis Music group, tells us:
“With this project we are focusing on his lyrical ability and his talent as an emcee. We have been working on ‘Kriptic Thoughts’ for the last 10 months all of the material is being produced and recorded locally and it is ready for rap domination.”
Which is very true due to the fact that they released a single from the project named “Buddie” which garnered which premièred him the top 20 countdown, however, as popularity of the single increased the song elevated to the top 10. And is also featured on the school of hip-hop as one of the top10 singles.
Karizma yet again released another single named “New Girl” last Sunday and is already raving on the internet.
