“Maritzburg is coming to our home ground,” comments Willard Katsande about Kaizer Chiefs hosting Maritzburg United at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening, 6 February (kick-off is at 18:00). “There’s no place like home.”
The Zimbabwean midfielder helped Amakhosi beat Golden Arrows on Tuesday night, winning the Man of the Match award for a sterling performance.
“We need to find a balance so that we can start winning games in row,” Katsande adds. “We have been playing well recently, but we have failed to convert our chances.”
The tickets for the match are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide. The cost per ticket is R40.
“It is due to hard work, determination and having that hunger,” Katsande explains his great form at the moment, which resulted in two Man of the Match awards on the trot. “I demand a lot from myself and it is my desire the help my Club succeed.”
Katsande also spoke about his goal scoring form this season, having already netted three times in league matches: “I have been able to take my game to the next level. I am enjoying it.”
With Maritzburg United hanging for dear survival in the top flight football, Katsande looks at the situation: “We are well aware of their situation but, remember, we need to climb up the ladder. It is going to be an interesting encounter. The fans must turn up in big numbers to enjoy the match on Saturday.”
